Passing On Our Faith

In addition to my own continuing reflections on the church, I'd also like to introduce a series of video testimonies that touch on the sort of church or community of faith we wish to leave to our daughters and sons in the faith.

The context for many of the videos I'll be sharing is an upcoming vote later this summer by the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America), one of the most prominent voices for peace and social justice within the broader Christian church but one that till now has yet to fully recognize the dignity of the LGBT community.

As this testimony by Jeremy Posadas demonstrates, what many of us are longing for is a church that those who follow us in the faith deserve - one in which young people can grow up and be affirmed as they are and thereby empowered to share live fully the Christian life.
