Love for All

After going last night to see the new movie Milk about the life and prophetic witness of Harvey Milk, I felt a renewed sense of the ways in which mistaken religious notions about homosexuality are what continue to sow seeds of prejudice and discrimination. For that reason, the video I've chosen for today, while perhaps a bit provocative, is also precisely something we all need to reflect on. If this video makes us a bit uncomfortable, why is that? How can we work together toward building a civilization of love for God and neighbor that includes all? Some good food for thought at least in this season of reflection and prayer for many religious traditions.
