Protest for Equality

Yesterday I had the privilege of attending a local event here in San Jose to protest the recent ballot initiatives in several states that have denied marriage and adoption rights to same-sex couples. Although it was amazing seeing hundred and hundreds of people from diverse backgrounds all gathered together, what was most encouraging to me was to see how many representatives of churches and other religious groups were there to manifest their support. May the Spirit of love and compassion continue to move in all of our hearts and help us all to overcome fear and prejudice.
