In case the words of Keith Olbermann in the previous post need a concrete example, this video provides a brief introduction to the lives of two amazing pioneers in the fight for LGBT rights. Del Martin (now deceased) and her partner of more than 55 years, Phyllis Lyon, worked tirelessly for decades to finally see the day this past summer when they could proclaim their love for each other in marriage. May their example of enduring love live on in all of us as we keep up the fight for equality and human rights.
